Social Media Manager

You have heard about DUMBO. There was something that grabs your attention. And you made it to this job profile (Okay, this is great and obviously a result of our communication measures).

But, this is just the beginning. It’s time to tell those people out there about DUMBO, about what we do, how we do it, but more importantly, why we’re here.

Apparently, there are very few who know about us.
You could say it’s a problem.
Or an opportunity?
If you are the kind of person who thinks so, then it might be you who we’re looking for.
A new Social Media Manager.

First, let me tell you a little bit about the position. DUMBO’s Social Media Manager. You would work at our office in the vibrant »Veedel« Ehrenfeld in Cologne, Germany. You will help us maintain and evolve our voice, and help us use it to talk about what we believe, what we can do, and what makes us different. You want to help DUMBO grow, and want to grow with us.

You are responsible for our social media efforts.

You will work with our partners to shape the goals and tactics that will make more people know how focus on core can help us to build better products. You make sure that our content channels are always stuffed with goodies that create value and bring people together.

Let’s have a look at what you would do and what your skill set is.

  • Multi media production. You produce multi media content with which we can tell stories. You know how to control cameras. Whether film or photo, you capture moments and produce them accordingly. From pre- to post-production.
  • Design. You create visuals and graphics, animations, transitions and titles. In doing so, you make sure that the content always meets DUMBO’s corporate design and identity and that it lives up to the high design standards.
  • Editorial. You develop the editorial outline of our social media content. You break down our long form content into snackable and engaging social media snippets. You know how to set a hook line and formulate captivating captions in English and in German.
  • Process management. You coordinate the helping hands involved, inhouse and external. You handle things to get posts live. You know which files are needed for advertising on social media.
  • Community Management. You keep an eye and an ear on what’s happening on our social media channels and engage with the audience.

You would work as a part of our team of highly talented designers. You would be one of us — a truly essential part of our team!

Our partners are hands on and everyone works directly with one of them, Robert or Felix. We share a couple of values. They come from the heart and will bring us together.

Even though we are a small team, our clients are big brands, global companies and industry leaders. So, our work is put into interfaces that are used by millions every single day to get their jobs done. The topics you will talk about, will impact product people and change the way they think about digital product design.

Sounds like your next job? Let’s have a look on who you are.

  • You’ve got a bit of experience. You’ve been around. Ideally you’ve done related things at a creative agency or a media production company for 1 to 2 years.
  • You want to get better. You want to leave the old and break new ground. We are talking about the ever changing digital media.
  • You know your way around the usual tools. Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Keynote and all that. And you may or may not have experience with Audio.
  • You are all about social media. It is part of your daily life.
  • You care about design and aesthetics. You are a creator with high demands regarding the look and the finishing of our content.
  • Übrigens. Wir sprechen Deutsch mit unseren Kunden und kommunizieren in Englisch.

Plus, you are simply a good egg. You help a mother with a pram into the bus, for example. That’s important to us. We like that.

So, what do you think?

Take over communications and introduce yourself!
